A Residence Designed with Classical Warmth

This home in Vasundhra, Ghaziabad was designed as a complete interior transformation — living spaces, master bedroom, modular kitchen, and a bespoke bar and staircase landing. The owners wanted a home that felt luxurious but liveable, drawing on classical French design principles without tipping into formality.

The result is a multi-floor residence where every room speaks a consistent material language — warm ivory tones, brass and gold hardware, Italian marble underfoot, and fluted wood detailing that gives depth and texture to walls and joinery throughout. Crown moulding and arched openings reinforce the classical narrative, while the furniture palette stays grounded and comfortable.

A Drawing Room That Balances Drama and Comfort

The living room is designed around a central axis — a back-lit TV unit in fluted warm-toned wood, framed by a brushed gold panel and flanked by open display shelving. Overhead, a brass multi-arm chandelier with white globes defines the seating zone and sets the tone for the room's French contemporary character.

The furniture is a considered mix: a low, structured sofa with accent pillows in muted gold and grey, a white quilted daybed bench, and a round black marble coffee table that grounds the composition without drawing attention from the architecture. Marble flooring runs wall to wall, keeping the space open and airy despite the richness of the finish palette.

A Staircase Landing That Doubles as an Entertainment Space

One of the standout elements of the residence is its staircase landing, designed as a fully integrated bar and social space. A marble-clad bar counter with a dark walnut top provides seating for two — white boucle bar stools with black metal frames sit against it, framed by an open-shelved display of glassware and bottles above.

The staircase itself is finished with a glass balustrade and brass handrail, with a cascading sphere pendant light descending alongside it — a centrepiece that draws the eye upward and gives the vertical transition through the house its own sense of occasion. The detail here is deliberate: this is not merely a circulation space, but a destination.

Rest Designed Without Compromise

The master bedroom takes the residence's warmth and strips it down to its essentials. A full-height fluted wood headboard wall provides a strong architectural backdrop — warm, textured, and grounding. Black orb pendants hang on either side of the bed at reading height, casting soft directional light across the space.

White botanical arrangements on either side of the bed introduce a moment of softness, while a curved accent chaise at the foot of the bed and a cluster of framed art on the adjacent wall complete a room that is calm, warm, and entirely private.

A French Kitchen Built for Real Cooking

The modular kitchen continues the residence's commitment to classical detailing — shaker-profile cabinetry in warm off-white with gold pulls, marble countertops and full-height backsplash, and under-cabinet LED lighting that keeps the work surfaces well-lit and warm. An arched opening connects the kitchen to the adjacent dining area, softening the transition between rooms.

A corner of the kitchen features a contrasting black marble top — a deliberate material break that brings depth and prevents the all-ivory palette from feeling flat. Integrated appliances keep the cabinetry profile clean.

Consistency Across Every Room and Surface

What makes this home work as a whole is the consistency of its material decisions. The same warm ivory, brass, marble, and fluted wood appear in every room — not identically, but in conversation with each other. The result is a home that feels cohesive without being repetitive.

  • Italian marble flooring across all living and transitional zones
  • Brass and gold hardware — chandeliers, pendants, handles, rails
  • Fluted wood detailing in TV units, headboards, and cabinetry
  • Classical crown moulding and arched openings throughout
  • Glass balustrade staircase with a cascading sphere chandelier
  • Boucle and velvet furniture in warm neutral tones
